Career Connect Job Assistance

Career Connect is a free, job search assistance and networking event meeting on the fourth Thursday of every month from 5:30 - 7:30 pm. The purpose of the event is to connect job seekers in Troup County with the best resources for advancing their employment. On Thursday, February 23rd special services and resources will be offered by the LaGrange Career Center of the Department of Labor, including instruction on resume writing. Various staffing agencies and business representatives, as well as employment coaches, will be on hand to serve attenders. The event will be hosted by New Community Church at 1200 S. Davis Road in LaGrange, GA.

The 38th African Children's Choir

The 38th African Children's Choir will be performing on Friday, February 24th at 6:00 pm at the Kellogg Conference Center on the campus of Tuskegee University. Admission is free. A free-will offering will be received to help support the Music for Life Institute. Come and experience a performance that shows the beauty, dignity and potential of each African child. The 1st Annual J.H. Rice Memorial Sing

Details:

The 1st Annual J.H. Rice Memorial Sing to benefit the Donald Toney family will be held on Saturday, February 25th at 6 pm at Pineview Baptist Church on Whitesville Road in LaGrange GA. The family lost a 2 year old in a fire and their 13 year old is battling cancer. The singing will feature a Gaither-style choir with groups such as Twin Creek, Voices of Grace, Sounds of Glory, The Highlanders and many more. IHOP Pancake Day

IHOP is offering 15 hours of Free Flapjacks on Tuesday, February 28th on National Pancake Day to benefit Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. For every short stack of buttermilk pancakes served on National Pancake Day, IHOP guests are invited to make a voluntary donation to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Donations made at IHOPs in the Lagrange area will benefit the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals' program at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Lighthouse Tabernacle of Jesus Christ of Hogansville, GA hosts a free Gospel Singing on Saturday, March 3rd from 7 until 9 pm. Faith Baptist Church Women's Conference

Faith Baptist Church invites the ladies of the community to a Women's Conference titled The Authentic Woman: In Search of the Genuine Article on Friday and Saturday, March 9th and 10th. The guest speaker is Jena Forehand from Stained Glass Ministries of Birmingham, AL. The conference will include refreshments Friday evening and a light breakfast and catered lunch on Saturday.
