In Memory of Mrs. Joyce Birdyshaw's Home Going

Mrs. Joyce Birdyshaw went home to be with the Lord July 4th, 2006, and left us with a great many memories of her, and of her love for life.

Her husband, Brother Ben Birdyshaw, tells us that her favorite song was Amazing Grace and her favorite thing to do was to help out at Church. Before she became a member at Oakside Baptist Church, she belonged to Welcome Baptist Church, where she actively got involved both personally and financially, lending a hand where the need arose. She loved the Lord, and the work of the Lord, and, she had a deep sense of family. Even now her family remembers her as someone they could trust in and depend upon. She was aware of her responsibility to raise a family that lived for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Mrs. Birdyshaw was also loved by those she came in contact with at the Milliken Design Center, where she worked as Senior Designer for 52 years. At work, she carried with her a wonderful testimony to the Lord.

Not only was she a loving wife, a great mother and grandmother, and a real soldier in God's army, she was a real friend to WOAK radio and to all that knew her. We will miss her sweet and kind nature, and we look forward to meeting with her again.
