the internet. I enjoy the Bible preaching and Gospel
music, especially the "Family Altar Program"
with Lester Roloff. I am a blood bought born again
Bible-believing Christian saved from a life of Sodomy and
currently living with AIDS. (You don't find many like

my dear brothers and sisters to the south. I am the
Pastor/ Director of the Chapel in West Edmonton Mall in
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
This
little Chapel is located inside of the mall which on any
given day has 25 to 30 thousand people working here and an
average weekly attendance of about 440 thousand. To say
that we have an awesome opportunity to reach people with
the wonderful love of Jesus would definately be an
understatement. My Wife Tanny works for an investment
company and absolutely loves her job. She has been my
wonderful helpmeet for almost 22 years. We have 2
Children. Stacey who is currently working as a hairdresser
and Josh who is in Grade 10.

I am Annette Gartin from Logan County WV. I live in a
small community Mt. Gay. I am married to Tom Gartin Jr. He
is a coal miner and I work at a hardwood flooring plant.
We been married 25 years now. I am 45 .. Tom is 46. We
have 2 kids both married. Betty and William. 3 Grandbabies
and one granddaughter on the way.
When I can I volunteer my time to operation compassion The
Dream Center.
I sing with the choir and on the missions team.
In June the missions team will be going to Gallup New
Mexico to help American Indians.
Keep us in prayer for this trip and pray that the funds we
need for the trip will come.

The Smith
Family is a church planting missionary family in Northern
Ireland. They count this radio station as a great tool
in their life as they try to raise their children
around good fundamental Christian truths in a country that
is void of such blessings as can be found on the shores of
the USA. They want to say, "Thank you for
providing this level of Christian encouragement."
If God could turn some of us inside out,
He might send us to turn the world upside down.

name is John and I live in Hawaii.
I discovered WOAK one Saturday evening while working. I
now anticipate coming in after hours simply because I can
listen to "sound" music and "sound"
preaching. What a joy! :)
Hawaii may be known as a destination of "fun in the
Sun" and "big surf" but we have a very rich
history based upon Christianity. The worship of the Lord Jesus
Christ is alive and well and many are out trying to reach the
lost with the gospel of our Savior.
The State of Hawaii motto reads: "Ua mau ke ea o ka aina
i ka pono." (translated) "The life of the land shall
be perpetuated in righteousness."
Well, to my brothers and sisters in the Lord Jesus Christ, I
leave you with this: "If I don't meet you here - I'll
meet ya at the river..."

 My
family and I are Independent Baptist church planting
missionaries in Jamaica. We have been in Jamaica since 1991.
We are sent out of Corinth Baptist Church in Loganville, Ga,
where Dr. Don Richards is our pastor. We serve with Macedonia
World Baptist Missions in Braselton, Ga. There are no real
Christian radio stations here at all. Praise God we can listen
to WOAK via the internet. We do not even have phone service in
the area we live in, but God has blessed our family with
internet through satellite. WOAK is always playing at our
house.
Our son John David is in his second year at Bob Jones
University in Greenville, SC where he is majoring in Business
and Commercial Aviation. Our daughter Melissa is home schooled
here in Jamaica and is in the eleventh grade. She will be
returning to the States next summer where she will prepare to
attend Forrest Hills Christian School in Stone Mountain, Ga.
My wife Anita has taught both
of our children and has done a great job in preparing them for
college. Serving the Lord in Jamaica has been a family
ministry, where each one faithfully served in the work of God
here.

Listening to WOAK is a blessing - messages and the music are
great, and reading various comments in sections such as 'chat'
etc are quite interesting. I receive a clear perfect reception
on broadband here in aussie land. I believe it is good that
irregardless of what church we go to - we are all one in
Christ Jesus - "how good and pleasant it is for the

We are Bill and Vera (my Mom) Calhoun.
We are from New York State. I was working on my missions
newsletter and listening to your wonderful selections.
Presently, I am preparing to go back to Haifa, Israel to
continue in the Lords ministry there to Lebanese refugees,
some nominal Maronites and others who are committed disciples
of our Lord Jesus. Along with serving in a Christ centered
rehabilitation House in downtown Haifa.
I noticed the site and the listed saints and their families
and it was on my heart to ask for prayer for this mission and
for my Mom as well, a widow and 80 yrs young!
God knows the plan and purposes He has and I thank you for
considering us in your daily prayers for His perfect will to
be done and the furtherance of His Kingdom in faith

New South Wales in Australia (it was good to see a photo of

The picture was taken recently at the birth of our first
grandchild - a wonderful God given boy. I am involved
in Christian Radio in the Newcastle area of NSW - actually I
am a Director there at the station (Rhema FM transmitting on
99.7mHz). We play 100% Christian content - both music

to share a picture of proud grandparents picture of a blessed
family. There is no greater blessing than to have a
family saved and in the service of our Lord. Our oldest
son Joel and family are living in Bradford, AR and in the
ministry serving through the Calvary Boys Ranch in Eufaula,
OK. They are members of Trinity Baptist Church in
Bradford, AR. Our daughter Terrie and her family are
active members of Open Bible Baptist Church in Sumter, SC.
Youngest Son Gary and family are active in their church and
serving in the United States Air Force, in Great Falls, MT.
Grandma and Grandpa Brown live in Wedgefield, SC where God
allowed us to raise our children. We are members of
Gantt Street Baptist Church, where I presently teach the Adult
Bible Class. Isn't God Good.
